はじまりは いつもここから。
京都は陶土が採れないにもかかわらず
京焼・清水焼の文化が育まれてきた不思議な場所
かつて都であったこの地には
人と物が行き交い
多くの陶工が集い
技を磨き合う土壌がありました。
私たちもまた
その長い流れの中に立っています。
繋いでいきたい技術や想いを
どのような形で どんな温度で
次へ手渡していくのか。
最近は
土に触れ 手を動かしながら
そんなことをよく考えています。

Everything begins here.
Kyoto is a curious place.
Although no ceramic clay is found here,
it became the home of Kyo-yaki and Kiyomizu-yaki.
As the former capital,
Kyoto was a crossroads of people and materials.
Potters gathered here,
challenging one another and refining their craft.
We, too, stand within that long continuum.
How should we pass on
the techniques and thoughts we wish to preserve—
in what form, and with what sense of warmth?
Lately,
as our hands move through the clay,
these questions stay with us.
